Say you want to have three or four trusted employees enter people into your system without the expense of purchasing full Salesforce licenses for each of them? That was the situation one client presented me with.

After experimenting with a few other ideas, I quickly settled on a workable solution: a custom-built, password protected, Google site with a Web-to-Lead form. I was able to customize the form to match the client’s corporate look and feel. We settled on a subset of the fields to require for a successful submission.

The project was an easy win for my client. Giving his employees a way to enter information directly into Salesforce for his review saved him hours per week in frustrating copying and pasting.
